ABOUT THE FOUNDER
A school founded by Cony Vazquez, a dedicated and devoted christian lady with a big heart. Cony is a professional school teacher with a disability, when Cony was only 10 month old, she suffered a disease called Paraplegia. Cony never learned how to walk, but her loving parents taught her that through Faith in Christ and self motivation we can succeed in life. So Cony grew up with strong faith, she manage to go to school, to finish a career, to make many friends. Cony is also a pastor of a church of about 250 members in one of the poorest areas in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas. Cony has only one thing in mind, and that is to be a faithful servant to God and to people. She loves kids, and she dreams of having many kids that become professionals with a strong faith in God.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
"Escuela Libertad" is a school dedicated to raise children with values and moral principals as well as high standards of academics. This school is not supported by the government or any specific organization but rather by the support of individuals that feel the burden of helping teachers.
SUPPORTING A TEACHER
We find out that in doing it this way we can affect more people with less money, because one teacher attends 30 to 40 students, then having 6 teachers being supported by the donations, we are affecting between 180 to 240 kids a year.
A professional teacher in Mexico average between $ 600.00 to $800.00 dlls a month depending of their level of education.
OUR GOAL
To raise enough support for 12 teachers. (6 Teachers for the morning classes and 6 teachers for evening classes) so we can touch the life of between 360 to 480 kids a year.
